
Mission
My mission is to make local homes a little healthier by baking bread at home. Bread should only have four ingredients, flour, water, salt and starter (or yeast). Looking at nutrition labels at the grocery store, well, you need to have a degree in science to understand what's in most breads and that shouldn't be the case. So I'm here to teach you how to bake bread at home, show you that it's not super time consuming, and that it's possible for you to have the wonderful experience of the aroma that fills your house when a loaf is baking in your oven.
About
I never was a baker, more of a home cook. Fast forward to January 2024 where I set a goal to learn how to make sourdough not realizing that it was a pretty complicated confusing process (which in reality it is pretty straightforward). Between YouTube, IG, and websites, and books it took me a full year to figure out how to make sourdough correctly!
I made my own starter from scratch, did a ton of online research, trial and errored and finally got it right. If I just had someone local I could learn from it wouldn't have taken nearly that long. So here I am, local to Bergen County to teach you from my home how to take out the guesswork and answer your questions in person about the wonderful, unique bread that is Sourdough.
